Happy Friday! Even though yesterday was a bit chilly in NYC, I think we have finally turned the corner towards warmer weather! This means time to put all of the tired out winter clothes away and start thinking about summery outfits. While there will always be staple pieces that I keep from season to season, it is nice to spruce things up with some inexpensive trendy accents. To me, the key is to splurge on classic pieces that you will keep for years and to cut corners on the super trendy stuff. ASOS has become on of my new favorite sites to get trendy and inexpensive pieces; and they have free shipping! Here are some ideas inspired from their website:
Happy Monday! Today’s post is somewhat of a personal one. Over the past few months, I have had the pleasure of working with a client who has also become a friend. He was introduced to me in need of a revamp of his apartment. It took some convincing to get him to part with his beloved brown leather reclining sofas, but once he did, I think the end product turned out great! We wanted a clean, sophisticated and masculine feel with an emphasis on usability and comfort. Take a look at some of the photos that were shot last week by the awesome Meg Miller of Meg Miller Photography!

Over the holidays I was browsing through the massive amount of magazines that I receive and stumbled upon a great website, Keaton Row. Keaton Row is a service to match you with a personalized stylist. When you sign up for the styling service, you must fill out basic information and upload a photo of yourself. From there, you are matched with three stylists. Each stylist has a profile page where you can check out their style and inspiration to help you make your choice. The stylists shop looks for you (at no charge) from retailers such as Nordstrom and Shop Bop. You lookbook gets sent to you and all you have to do is click to purchase the pieces you want! It is so easy! I recently got matched with an awesome stylist named Lilli who created 10 super cute looks for me. Here are some of my favorite pieces:
This grayed tone of jade has long been a favorite color of mine. A close cousin to the beautiful jewel tones we saw this fall, it allows us to use color during gray winter months without being too shockingly bright! The key for me in using this color, whether it be in fashion or interiors, is to avoid any metallic finish and avoid jade colors involving too much yellow. A nice grayed jade is soft and opulent and can read almost as a neutral. Here are some beautiful images I gathered this morning while browsing Pinterest.
Beautiful lacquered doors in a deep jade color.
Thanks for reading and have a fabulous weekend!
