I’m Back!

Good afternoon everyone!

It has been a very long time since I posted as I have been busy making life changes. Recently I obtained my New York Real Estate Salesperson license and have been busy learning all things real estate related! However, I haven’t given up on my design work either. I plan to incorporate the two and hopefully have some happy clients! I am focusing more on model apartments now as I am making contacts with new management companies each day. With that, I am charged with a new 3 bedroom apartment in the Upper East Side. I am very excited about it and am in the planning stages at the moment. Here are some of my inspirational images.

Have a great week!

Upper East Side Bachelor Pad

Happy Monday! Today’s post is somewhat of a personal one. Over the past few months, I have had the pleasure of working with a client who has also become a friend. He was introduced to me in need of a revamp of his apartment. It took some convincing to get him to part with his beloved brown leather reclining sofas, but once he did, I think the end product turned out great! We wanted a clean, sophisticated and masculine feel with an emphasis on usability and comfort. Take a look at some of the photos that were shot last week by the awesome Meg Miller of Meg Miller Photography!

Model Apartment Design

I am very excited to be asked to design the model apartment in a new high rise building in Brooklyn. The building is an urban chic oasis and the design concept that I am contemplating is “industrial chic.” Here is a preview of the design concept for the living area of the apartment. I am not set on the gorilla art, but I do like the gray with pops of bright color. What do you think?

Glam Bedroom Inspiration

As I am moving into a new apartment this weekend, I am excited to completely re-decorate a new space all of my own! The first place that I am going to begin is my bedroom. My style is a clean, yet lush style that truly encompasses the concept of transitional. I like geometric pieces juxtaposed with soft textures. Here are a few inspiration photos on my lust list that are helping to bring life into my vision! Can you tell that I love upholstered headboards?!

Crisp Clean Tile Design

As I am beginning a new renovation project of a Manhattan kitchen and bath, I am searching for inspiration. My clients favor a clean, crisp aesthetic as do I. In the bath, I am hoping to do a white glass subway tile on the walls with a basket weave tile pattern on the floor that incorporates a hint of color. A chrome and marble pedestal sink would be fabulous as well!

The kitchen will feature counter depth stainless appliances (a must for small NYC spaces), white cabinets and Caesarstone countertops that are marbled with gray. We chose to do Caesarstone over marble as marble is very easily stained while Caesarstone is incredibly durable. Thanks to Pinterest and Houzz, here are some images that my client and I found to express her thoughts.
